At Promethean we are proud to announce our partnership with Out in Tech, the world’s largest community of LGBTQ+ tech professionals committed to improving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
For years whilst incredible LGBTQ+ tech pioneers were changing the digital world, they were also fighting for space to be authentic. Although workplaces have made improvements towards attaining diversity, equity and inclusion, the recruitment and retention of underrepresented populations such as the LGBTQ+ community, people of colour, and women is still a challenge.
Creating and nurturing a globally inclusive culture is always one of our utmost priorities at Promethean. We know that diversity makes us stronger, and we’re so excited to work with Out in Tech to support us on this mission.
Out in Tech is a non-profit organization that creates opportunities for their 40,000 members to advance their careers, grow their networks, and leverage tech for social change. Promethean will work with Out in Tech on expanding a peer network, sharing best practices, and exploring emerging topics in workplace belonging.
On top of this we have become a partner of Qorporate, Out in Tech’s corporate council. Qorporate brings together LGBTQ+ employee group leaders, talent acquisition professionals, and other HR leaders to help companies recruit and retain employees from underrepresented groups. Promethean will also leverage the job board that connects LGBTQ+ candidates to job listings from companies that are actively seeking to build a stronger pipeline of diversity for the future.
“By weaving together the collective experiences of our founding members, we will shine a light on what’s working, push the envelope with new ideas, and create more equitable and inclusive workplaces for all underrepresented groups. We’re thrilled to have Promethean as our newest member.”
Out in Tech envisions a tech industry where LGBTQ+ people are empowered, included, and well-represented. At Promethean we share this vision, and we are committed to supporting social change and continuing to create a culture of diversity and belonging.
