(SEATTLE, January 28, 2019) Global education technology provider, Promethean®, will be bringing an exciting program of activity to the Future of Education Technology Conference January 28-30 in Orlando, Florida. Promethean will preview their latest technology, showcase the award-winning Promethean Escape Room experience, and celebrate the importance and value of the teaching profession with the debut of their new ‘For the Love of Learning™’ campaign and the announcement of the 2018 US Promethean Grant winners.

Looking to the future of edtech in the classroom, Promethean will preview the next generation of its award-winning and market-leading ActivPanel®. Building on Promethean’s over 20-year history of developing solutions which enhance the teaching and learning environment, the new ActivPanel Elements Series is a truly seamless integration of hardware and software that delivers world-class ease-of-use for all teachers, while providing an incredible number of advanced features to meet the demands of the most tech-savvy teachers. Featuring one of the most intuitive menu experiences in the industry, exclusive Vellum™ touch/writing technology, and access to a choice of ActivInspire® and cloud-based ClassFlow® software programs as standard, the ActivPanel Elements Series continues Promethean’s commitment to delivering teacher-friendly, future-proofed products for education.

“Based on extensive user research and direct teacher feedback, the new ActivPanel Elements Series continues Promethean’s tradition of developing purpose-built products that are designed by teachers for teachers. By previewing this new technology at FETC, we are giving customers an opportunity to see how Promethean solutions are constantly evolving to more closely meet teachers’ needs, provide classroom flexibility, and deliver confidence to customers through their technology investments,” said Steve Halliwell, Executive Vice President, Americas Markets, Promethean.

At FETC, Promethean will also be featuring its award-winning Escape Room experience, a professional development offering that provides training to effectively utilize Promethean’s solutions in the classroom. During the Escape Room simulation, attendees are tasked to complete different challenges that incorporate Promethean’s solutions, coding, and virtual reality. Every completed challenge leads participants closer to escaping the room while at the same time learning how to use Promethean’s technology in their classroom.

As part of its new ‘For the Love of Learning’ campaign, Promethean will be announcing the winners of its 2018 US Grant Program at FETC. First launched in 2017 in the UK, the Promethean Grant was designed to help schools overcome increasing budgetary pressures which can become a barrier to accessing the latest teaching technology. To participate, schools from across the United States were invited to submit video entries explaining why they would benefit from winning an ActivPanel – the latest interactive flat panel display. Entries were judged on three criteria: creativity, need, and the impact the technology would have on their students. Twenty winners have been selected, and will be announced at FETC, each to receive a fully installed ActivPanel package.
