Promethean, a global education technology company, won three Tech & Learning’s International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Best of Show Awards in Chicago, Ill. ActivInspireTM, ClassFlowTM, and the Promethean Escape Room all received the prestigious awards that honor the best education technology and offerings showcased at ISTE 2018. Tech & Learning’s ISTE 2018 Best of Show Awards rated ISTE exhibitor’s technologies and offerings on a sliding scale, evaluating areas such as quality and effectiveness, ease of use and creative use of technology. Not only was Promethean won Tech & Learning’s ISTE Best of Show Awards for four consecutive years, but the company was also awarded more than any other technology vendor this year.

“Promethean solutions and professional development offerings are created with teachers in mind,” said Steve Halliwell, Senior Vice President of the Americas Market at Promethean. “We think winning more awards than any other exhibitor and being acknowledged for four years in a row is recognition that beginning with teachers is the right approach for innovating K-12 technology that has a strong impact in the classroom.”

Promethean received an award for the Promethean Escape Room, a professional development offering that provides training on effectively utilizing Promethean’s solution in the classroom. During the professional development simulation, attendees are tasked to complete different challenges that incorporate Promethean’s solutions, coding, and virtual reality. Every completed challenge leads participants closer escaping the room and also learning how to use Promethean’s technology in their classroom. At ISTE 2018, Promethean hosted more than 300 educators in the Promethean Escape Room.

As a result, Promethean created this one-of-a-kind escape room training experience to immerse educators in a STEM environment with tools that support VR, robotics, gamification, mathematics, and collaboration – all designed to create deeper content connections in the classroom.”
