As we look forward to celebrating World Teachers’ Day on October 5, 2021, Promethean recognizes the strength and skills of our teachers and the important role they play in the everyday life of our students. To us, World Teachers’ Day is every day! All around us, our teachers are a guiding light, a powerful role model for young and inquisitive minds, a constant source in what has been a challenging year for education.
This year’s theme for World Teachers’ Day from UNESCO is ‘Teachers at the heart of education recovery’ and focuses on the support our teachers need in order to get education back on track to a successful road to recovery.
As a small gesture of our appreciation for our teachers, we’ve created a special ActivInspire resource pack that’s free to download so that you can bring some heart into your lessons. Containing animated heart GIFs for numbers 1-10 and the letters of the alphabet, this resource pack can be used in several ways:
- Why not show your appreciation for someone who’s done a good job? Put their name together using the heart GIFs in your ActivInspire lesson and display on your Promethean interactive display.
- On World Teachers’ Day, ask your class what things they love and have a vote using the heart number GIFs by dragging them to a corresponding picture. What’s your favorite, pizza or pasta?!
