Devotion to education and learning continues to drive demand and increase Promethean’s presence in the market
(SEATTLE, April 1, 2020) – Promethean® was one of the globe’s leading brands for interactive technology, according to Futuresource Consulting’s Q4 report on World Interactive Displays.
With more than two million interactive displays sold across the world in 2019, interactive flat panels and interactive whiteboards are now a staple in today’s K-12 classroom. Teachers and education professionals use these interactive displays to engage students and create highly collaborative, dynamic classroom experiences. The displays also provide a key resource for education professionals to enhance lesson delivery and improve student performance.
Excluding China, sales of Promethean’s ActivPanels accounted for 18% of the total interactive display market in 2019 and 17.8% of sales in Q4 alone. In addition, Promethean maintained its leadership position in EMEA with 20% of market share for the year. The company also saw significant growth in Q4 2019 as school systems across the United States selected Promethean ActivPanels and helped the company achieve 24% of market share.
Promethean attributes much of its 2019 success to the launch of its ActivPanel Elements Series in June 2019.
