The Promethean Teacher Appreciation Summit will host teachers from around the nation sharing ideas on ways to integrate Promethean hardware and software directly into daily instruction, along with fun filled games and prizes.
Mandy Froehlich passionately encourages educators to create innovative change in their classrooms. An experienced Director of Innovation and Technology, technology integrator, and teacher, she has experience at many levels of the organizational structure. Her interest lies in reinvigorating and re-engaging teachers back into their profession, as well as what’s needed to support teachers in their pursuit of innovative and divergent thinking and teaching. She consults internationally with school districts and post-secondary institutions in the effective use of technology to support great teaching, mental health support for educators, and how to create organizational change. Her first book, The Fire Within: Lessons from defeat that have ignited a passion for learning, discusses mental health awareness for teachers. Her second book, Divergent EDU, is based on an organizational structure she developed to support teachers in innovative and divergent thinking. Her third book, based on educator engagement and mental health, is titled Reignite the Flames which has a recently released companion guide/workbook titled The Educator’s Matchbook. Keep an eye out for her upcoming Wounded Healer series in 2022!
Mr. Daniel Thompson is a graduate of Auburn University, where he received his undergraduate degree in Secondary Science/Biology Education. While at Auburn, Mr. Thompson was an undergraduate assistant to the Auburn Tiger football team during their 2010 national championship campaign. He has spent three years at the middle school and high school levels cultivating students’ skills in chemistry, physics, and biology. Mr. Thompson attributes his success to stern discipline, heightened rigor, deep engagement, thorough inquiry, and critical questioning within the classroom. He firmly believes in developing strong relationships with students to reach the maximum potential within each child. Additionally, Mr. Thompson utilizes a blend of whole brain teaching methods along with music and technology to push and engage his students. He also maintains a role system within his classroom to develop skills in communication, collaboration, and critical thinking amongst his students.

Want to use spinners for more than just picking what student is answering the next question? We will go through some ideas that can really maximize the use of the spinner in different ways from provoking discussion, writing stories, to playing bingo. Found some really cool images, what do I do next? I’ll show you my quick and easy way to get those to your whiteboard. They will be ready for your interaction or to work in dual mode for student use. ClassFlow is the best ways for student to practice, I hope to show you some neat ways I’ve used it and how I ‘send’ resources to my teachers. |
