Ribble Drive Primary School – Promethean Grant Case Study 2017

Ribble Drive Primary School is located in the town of Whitefield in Greater Manchester. Ribble Drive holds values that enable pupils to live well in society and effectively deal with challenges that the modern world presents. Their interactive whiteboards became outdated and could no longer be used effectively in lessons due to the failing operating systems, equipment and displays.

Ribble Drive found out about the Promethean Grant scheme on Twitter through one of the Promethean Advocates and went on to become one of our 30 winners.

Reception class has been fully engaged with working on the ActivPanel from day one. It was amazing to see how quickly they picked up using it and enjoy the interactive activities. In early years teaching it is so important for the children to learn through play, the interactive games and apps on the ActivPanel are really stimulating and interesting for the children. They’re learning so much without even realising it.

The 2018 Promethean Grant is now LIVE. We will be giving away 30 ActivPanels for free to the 30 schools we think show the most innovation and creativity, along with their need for new edtech and the overall impact it will have. Apply for the Promethean Grant here.
