Win a Promethean ActivPanel – share your #ClassroomStory
Stories about workload, wellbeing and record numbers of teachers leaving the profession are dominating the headlines in the UK and Ireland, in what some are calling a ‘crisis in education’. Whilst the challenges educators are facing urgently need addressing, it is also important to recognise some of the amazing work teachers are doing and the impact they are making to the lives of their students.
For the love of learning, Promethean has relaunched the #ClassroomStory competition to share treasured teaching memories and give educators the chance to win a state-of-the-art technology package, for the second time this year.
Over the past two years, the Promethean Grant has celebrated schools around the UK, with pupils taking the limelight in the creative video competition which saw over 60 ActivPanels awarded to winning schools. We are back, with a twist for 2019. Promethean wants to hear from teachers and educators, in this years #ClassroomStory competition.
The #ClassroomStory competition was previewed at Bett Show in January and was a huge success with 100’s of on stand entries. 1 lucky winner won a Promethean ActivPanel from an amazing #ClassroomStory they told on Promethean’s stand at Bett in our video booth.
The official launch of Promethean’s #ClassroomStory competition was in April 2019 for term 1. We had so many inspiring entries. We chose 8 finalists which then went to a public vote. 5 winners were announced in July and each won a Promethean ActivPanel which was installed in the winning schools over summer. The competition is back for term 2, giving away another 5 Promethean ActivPanels to 5 teachers who submit the most inspiring stories.
Encouraging educators to share their #ClassroomStory
If you, or a colleague has a special teaching memory, then why not share it as a video and celebrate what is positive in education? Promethean wants to know all about those magical teaching moments that really give teachers a sense of fulfilment.
Do you remember a time when a pupil came after class for extra help? When a pupil excelled because of your teaching support? The best piece of advice a teaching colleague has given you? If a teacher has a story to tell, Promethean would love to hear it and share their stories with the teaching community.
How to enter
Educators can share their video on Twitter using the hashtag #ClassroomStory or via the competition’s website www.classroomstory.co.uk. The most inspirational stories will be shortlisted, and educators will be in with a chance of winning 1 of 5 ActivPanel packages. The shortlisted stories will then go to a public vote in November and the winners will be announced in December ready for the ActivPanels to be installed over Christmas.
