Promethean has recently appointed Ben Brown as Head of Market Development and Strategic Relationships for UKI. Responsible for maintaining and growing Promethean’s market leading status, Ben and the team will be working closely with schools, Academy Trusts and Local Authorities to develop strategies that enhance long-term ICT provisions.

With over 20 years’ experience working within education, Ben has an inordinate amount of expertise in AV solutions best suited to the classroom environment. As well as this, Ben is also chair on a school Board of Governors and sits on the board of Trustees at the David Ross Education Trust, work that Ben feels is massively important to give something back to the sector.

The team which was originally established by Jim Wallis – now Head of UKI Markets – has been working in partnership with schools, MATs and resellers to facilitate the best classroom solutions for the education environment. The Market Development and Strategic Relationships team has been helping to navigate the long-term ICT strategy of schools whilst also working closely with MATs to standardise technology for teachers and students that will support pedagogical outcomes.

Ben’s appointment will build on these foundations, helping schools to successfully implement ICT strategies that suit them, whilst also further developing on the support that is available.

Jim Wallis, Head of UKI Markets, commented: “We are incredibly pleased to announce the recent appointment of Ben Brown to our UKI team. Ben is an extremely well regarded individual within the education sector and has first-hand knowledge of the pressures that schools are under. His appointment continues to demonstrate Promethean’s ongoing commitment to ensuring schools have solutions best suited to the individual needs of the ICT estates of schools and how the ActivPanel fits in with the wider strategy. We are delighted to have him on board.”

“Having worked within the education technology sector for over 20 years, I am excited to be joining a market-leading team that has got the classroom firmly in its sights. The team has supported schools to make decisions that will streamline the ICT estates and enhance student development and I am thoroughly looking forward to building upon its reputation,” concluded Ben.

In addition to the support provided by Ben’s team, Promethean offers orientation training sessions on its award-winning ActivPanel to ensure teachers have the tools and knowledge to get started. Also, educators are able to access the Promethean Academy, an online resource that provides best practice advice and guidance of how to teach with tech effectively.
