Blackburn-based global education technology provider, Promethean has joined forces with Crosshill Special School to provide careers support and insights for students. A partnership that has been formed through a sense of community and love for education, Promethean will be offering Crosshill Special School’s Years 10 and 11 students valuable experience that will help them throughout school and post education.

Passionate about providing learning experiences that will help the next generation of students, Promethean will be supporting Crosshill School by providing mentoring for students, arranging interview practice sessions and setting up mock interviews.

Lindsey Towers, Wellbeing Officer at Crosshill Special School explained: “Our focus is on youth and IT and careers for our Year 10 and 11 students. With an emphasis on IT within education and careers, we sought help from Promethean due to its work in the educational sphere and the valuable life lessons we hoped they could teach our students about the working world. We are looking forward to Promethean coming into our school and helping our students to develop interview skills and careers preparation that will help them throughout school and beyond into post education.”

Ian Curtis, Head of EMEA and Asia Pacific Markets at Promethean, concluded: “As a Blackburn based company, we are passionate about the local community and are proud of our heritage. Committed to education and delivering solutions that support the teaching and learning experience, partnering with Crosshill Special School is a fantastic opportunity to help the students to gain valuable life skills and find out what it takes to get into this industry. We are thrilled to partner with Crosshill Special School to provide additional careers support and mock interviews for the students as this practical life experience is essential to their futures. We are looking forward to working with Crosshill Special School and giving something back to our local community.”
