Promethean Launches ClassFlow for Schools at Bett 2015

Published: January 21st, 2015

(London – Jan. 21, 2015) – At Bett 2015, global education technology solutions company Promethean will unveil ClassFlow for Schools – a school system-version of its popular, cloud-based interactive lesson delivery platform.

Since its preview in Beta version at Bett 2014, ClassFlow has gone through an accelerated development programme, which has delivered a powerful lesson preparation, delivery, assessment and analysis tool. Device-agnostic, ClassFlow connects front-of-class displays, such as interactive whiteboards, flat panels and projector systems, with individual student laptops and tablets to create a connected classroom where teachers can stimulate creative and collaborative learning opportunities.
ClassFlow for Schools brings together lesson creation and delivery with an enhanced range of features designed to take learning beyond the classroom and aggregate data from students’ progress against standards across an entire school or school system.

Sophisticated personalised learning features, including self-paced questioning and differentiated instruction, make ClassFlow for Schools ideal for supporting continuous improvement in schools, with valuable student data gathered through teaching and learning interactions.

Ian Curtis, Head of Western Europe, Africa & ANZ at Promethean, explains: “An increased focus on assessment in education – such as the recent Assessment Reforms in UK schools – have radically changed the shape of assessment and its role in education. Tools that improve assessment in the classroom and provide essential feedback, which teachers and schools leaders can use to better meet the individual needs of each student, represent a significant opportunity to improve educational outcomes globally.”

ClassFlow for Schools equips teachers with resources and data to engage and motivate learners, while serving as a tool to measure student progress from a wider school perspective. Schools systems and individual teachers can use this knowledge to inform decisions that help improve performance.

To take learning beyond the classroom, ClassFlow for Schools provides Student Accounts, which allow assignments to be completed away from school and submitted electronically. As well as gathering and storing evidence of learning, ClassFlow for Schools integrates homework tasks with learning that takes place in the classroom.

“By holding all classroom content in one place, ClassFlow for Schools further connects learning inside the classroom with learning outside of school,” continued Curtis.
