(LONDON – Jan. 20, 2016) – Global education technology company Promethean, will be reimagining the learning workspace at Bett 2016 with the official launch of the ‘Modern Classroom’ – a new approach to education technology which empowers teachers and students to transform how knowledge is created and shared; harnesses the potential of new educational experiences, and extends learning beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
Centred around a core programme on Stand B99, Promethean will be delivering a number of live lessons which demonstrate how Modern Classroom solutions can be used to support a wide range of teaching and learning strategies.
From formative and summative assessment through to collaborative small group and team activities, join UK teachers and students from Saltash Community School to experience how Promethean’s flagship ClassFlow™ learning platform powers front-of-class interactive displays, laptops and handheld devices to increase student engagement and teacher effectiveness. A running programme of demonstrations will also help primary teachers learn how to address the SPaG (spelling, punctuation and grammar) classroom challenge, including access to free assessment resources on the Promethean stand.
Visitors to Stand B99 will also be able to learn more about the latest generation ActivPanel™ which offers significant feature and functionality enhancements; and be the very first to see the new 88” ActivWall™ – an innovative widescreen surface that provides an all-in-one collaborative learning solution.
In line with the Modern Classroom theme, Promethean will be delivering a series of fringe activities that aim to equip educators with practical guidance and school leaders with strategic insights.
In the School Leaders Summit, Gill Leahy, Senior International Education Consultant, Promethean, will lead a curated session that examines the three key aspects of the Modern Classroom and explores how leadership teams can draw on recent research and classroom-based experiences to create Modern Classroom environments which help prepare students for lifelong learning and real-world success.
Over in the Learn Live theatres, Janice Prandstatter, Promethean Teaching and Learning Consultant, will deliver two practical seminars which aim to address technology and assessment in the Modern Classroom, with a specific focus on SPaG for primary teachers.
Finally, in the Bett Arena, Dr. John Collick, Head of Education Consultancy will present a thought leadership piece on the vision of the Modern Classroom and how technology can remove traditional physical boundaries to create a true learning continuum between home and school.
To support Bett visitors in taking the Modern Classroom back to school and making a difference in their own teaching and learning; on Stand B99 Promethean is giving away a limited edition print copy of the new eBook ‘The Modern Classroom – Strategic Insights for School Leaders’.
