Promethean presents edtech strategies for a fairer world at BettFest

Published: January 18th, 2021

As the world’s largest edtech event launches in an all-new ‘BettFest’ digital format for 2021, Promethean is excited to be participating in the main stage speaker programme where leading experts and practitioners will discuss the hottest topics in education right now.

BettFest is live online from 20th – 22nd January 2021.

On Thursday 21st January at 15:00, Promethean’s Dr John Collick will present: ‘Edtech strategies for a fairer world. Building flexibility and resilience for access and equity’.

This 25 minute session will see Dr Collick draw on his experience as Head of International Education Strategy to examine how the events of last year have impacted the future of the classroom.

“The UK has gone back into lockdown and schools are again faced with the challenge of supporting the majority of students learning from home. With this in mind, our session aims to bridge education theory and pedagogical practice to provide practical advice on how to engage students in a hybrid model, utilising existing classroom technologies and drawing on authenticity and familiarity.”

Building on findings from Promethean’s State of Technology in Education Report 2020/21, Dr Collick’s presentation also offers insight into the challenges that educators have faced in the last 12 months, and how the edtech industry can assist in overcoming these.

Join Dr John Collick on Thursday 21st January from 15:00 – 15:25.
