Moscow Online Schools Project and Marketing Excellence Put Promethean on the AV Map

Before opening its doors for this year’s event, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), the world’s largest exhibition for AV and systems integration professionals, played host to the annual awards showcase from leading channel publication, AV News. Now in their tenth year, the AV News Awards celebrate the very best of what the industry has to offer – with Promethean triumphing as winners for the two categories in which the company had successfully secured a finalist place – AV Project of the Year and AV Marketing Professional of the Year.

With the winners announced at a pre-ISE breakfast on Tuesday 5th February 2019, Promethean was applauded for its role in the Moscow Electronic Schools Project and developing the IRBIS All-in-One PC to address the unique specifications of the initiative. Earning Promethean the coveted category of ‘AV Project of the Year – Education’, editor and awards judge, Bryan Denyer, praised the high profile work of Promethean in forging partnerships that genuinely deliver positive contributions to education.

Ian Curtis, Head of EMEA and Asia Pacific, believes that these latest industry awards are testament to the company’s firm commitment to the education market: “Promethean as a brand is quite unique in the AV market. We focus significantly on the K-12 sector which means that in every area of operation – from product development to sales and marketing – we are focused on meeting the needs of teachers, students and parents. This shines through in the long line of awards which we are achieving. Last month we took the title of ICT Company of the Year at the Bett Awards and now we’ve opened ISE with two new major award wins. I am proud of the team and I am immensely proud to be part of Promethean.”

Having played a leading role in the implementation of the project, Svetlana Harwood, Head of Business Development Russia, stepped up to accept AV Project of the Year award: “We have worked so very hard on making this unprecedented project a success. It is a programme which we continue to support and feel very proud to receive such prestigious recognition,” commented Svetlana.

The global growth which Promethean has achieved in the last 12 months in territories around the world was also recognised in this year’s AV News accolades, with Gillian Rhodes, Head of Marketing EMEA and Asia Pacific, being awarded ‘AV Marketing Professional of the Year’. Having been with the Promethean marketing team for over 12 years, Gillian has been instrumental in developing emerging markets and pioneering initiatives such as the Sustainable Education Partnership – strategic programmes which support schools at a grassroots level.
