Promethean Market Development Initiatives Triumph at AV News Awards

Promethean has been announced as winner of ‘Market Development Initiative of the Year’ at the coveted AV News Awards. The awards took place at the opening of the largest AV systems and integration show in the world, ISE, in Amsterdam on Tuesday 11th February. The award win is testament to the evolution and creation of a series of market development initiatives undertaken by Promethean in 2019.

The AV News Awards recognise the contributions made by individuals and teams to the development of AV business, with special awards to technologists, sales, marketing and support professionals, in addition to those for companies and organisations that make up the channel.

Through coordinated campaigns that champion Promethean’s robust edtech offering, excellent partner relationships and a commitment to supporting schools, the company has elevated itself to become the global market-leader in IFPDs (Interactive Flat Panel Displays).

Staying true to over 20 years of education pedigree, Promethean values providing innovative edtech solutions to schools that directly address their needs. The new Promethean ActivPanel Elements Series has been designed in partnership with real teachers specifically for education environments.

In the same spirit of a deep-rooted passion for education, Promethean has also pioneered initiatives such as The State of Technology in Education Report. Now in its fourth year in the UK, the report is providing valuable insights into the successes and challenges faced by schools and plotting trends in the sector. Additionally, the Promethean Grant is giving teachers the opportunity to share inspirational stories and win a free ActivPanel.

In 2019, Promethean also announced the beginning of a programme that will see it forge strategic content partnerships to further improving teacher accessibility to resources that can be enhanced through using Promethean technology.

Beyond the classroom, Promethean has continued to work closely with its partners and invest in channel initiatives such as the new communication platform Atlas. Atlas enables partners to communicate with Promethean ‘on-the-go’ and manage key operations such as demo registrations in real-time, making doing business with Promethean even easier. In the interest of sharing best practice and raising quality standards, the past year has seen the launch of Promethean Certified Installer Training, an extension to the Promethean Partner Accreditation Programme.

Ian Curtis, Promethean Head of EMEA and Asia Pacific Markets, commented: “2019 was another excellent year for Promethean, notably becoming the global leader in our market. We are confident that our commitment to education and dynamic market development initiatives have been instrumental to our success and we will continue to raise the bar even higher to do everything we can to support schools and our channel partners. I would like to extend my thanks to the Promethean team and our partners who help us to deliver an outstanding service to education.”
