Promethean Celebrates AV Awards Shortlisting

Global education technology provider Promethean, has been shortlisted in the ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ category at the up and coming AV Awards.  Now in its 20th year, the AV Awards recognises excellence in the Audio-Visual industry.

Promethean’s shortlisting in this category is testament to its success in the market and the education sector. The company has been recognised for pioneering initiatives that foster engagement with schools and build trust with its channel partner network.

One of these pioneering initiatives is the Promethean Grant, which in its first year attracted over 300 entries from UK schools. In an effort to alleviate the constraints of budget being a barrier to edtech, the creative competition was launched to give schools a chance to win 1 of 30 ActivPanels. 30 winners were then selected to receive a fully installed ActivPanel package. Following its success, the initiative has been run in the UK again this year, as well as being rolled out internationally.

In the channel, the Promethean Partner Accreditation programme is nurturing relationships between Promethean and its partners. The programme is designed to reward behaviours which are aligned with Promethean’s core visions and values. The programme has been monitored closely and is proving to further align the company with partners.

Another fantastic success for Promethean in the channel this year has been the launch of the Partner Gateway. ‘Atlas’, the new online application, allows partners to manage communications and operations ‘on the go’, streamlining processes and making it much easier to ‘do business’ with Promethean. Atlas has received significant praise from channel partners since its launch and Promethean has committed to further developing the Partner Gateway.

From a product perspective, Promethean has enhanced the offering of its award winning ActivPanel, expanding the range of sizes to meet the needs of classroom environments. Following its popularity, the instant whiteboarding app has been developed to include added functionality and a decision has also made to offer an OPS plug in to broaden the choice of operating systems that can be used in conjunction with the ActivPanel.

Alistair Hayward, Promethean’s Head of UKI and ANZ markets commented: “The shortlisting in this category is a credit to the innovative work of the team. As a company our relationships with our channel partners and the education sector are ones we value greatly, we are proud of the successes of our recent developments and initiatives and are committed to continuing to strengthen partnerships and invest in product innovation.”

The winner of ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ will be announced at the AV Awards ceremony on 28th September 2018, at Grosvenor House, London. A full list of the AV Awards shortlist can be found here.
