Promethean appoints new UK Channel Marketing Manager

Published: November 18th, 2015

(Blackburn, 16th November 2015) – Global education technology company Promethean, has appointed Kristie Blacklock as UK Channel Marketing Manager, in a brand new role which expands the existing UKI marketing team. Kristie’s appointment means the team now has a dedicated channel resource as Promethean looks to invest further in marketing in the UK and Ireland.

Kristie brings over eight years’ marketing experience to the role and joins Promethean from telecommunications company Daisy Group, where she was Channel Marketing Manager; working across multiple channels from Corporate/Enterprise marketing, SME/Retail marketing through to Indirect channel marketing. Prior to this she held a position at a marketing agency where she worked with global brand Dr Oetker and one of the UK’s ‘big six’ energy companies, npower.

At Promethean Kristie will be responsible for sourcing new cross-selling opportunities and networking with channel partners to proactively seek ways to increase exposure of the Promethean brand. “I’m really looking forward to a new challenge, and getting under the skin of a well-established, yet innovative brand,” said Kristie. “It’s not often you get the chance to carve out a brand new role for yourself, and I’m excited about making a real difference at an exciting time for the industry.”

Karen Shackleton, Head of Field Marketing Europe, commented: “It’s great to have Kristie onboard. We’re at a time when the education industry is rapidly changing as schools look to future proof classrooms with interactive technologies in order to improve student learning outcomes and meet new assessment criteria.  Kristie’s previous channel marketing experience means she will be a real asset to the team in driving brand awareness among existing and prospective Promethean channel partners.”
