With the initial round of judging now complete, Promethean has been announced as a finalist for ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ in this year’s AV News Awards. As the most coveted category in one of the AV industry’s leading awards programmes, this shortlist recognises Promethean’s continued achievements despite the challenges that 2020 presented.
At a time when schools were faced with more pressure than ever before, Promethean drew on its education pedigree and understanding of this market’s needs to support leaders, teachers, and IT managers with maintaining learning continuity and driving forward progress.
Remaining fully operational while much of the AV industry ground to a halt, Promethean responded with empathy and innovation. This agility is best exemplified by the global education technology company not only retaining its position as the K-12 market leader for interactive flat panel displays but going on to secure growth against the backdrop of a declining market.
Jim Wallis, Head of UKI Market, Promethean, comments on why this year’s award recognition is especially rewarding: “Our entire team has worked tirelessly to provide our schools and partners with the very best service over the past year.
“Throughout every lockdown we have never failed to align our operations with what the market needs, from the launch of our expanded demonstration to the evolution of our orientation training. Innovation and collaboration have been the backbone of our continued success and we are very proud for this to be recognised in this year’s AV News Awards shortlist.”
In the AV News Awards 2020, Promethean was the overall winner in the ‘Market Development Initiative of the Year’ category. In the absence of a formal awards breakfast at ISE this year, the final winners will be announced on the 4th February 2021 in AV News magazine and on the website.
