Top tips for a restful Christmas

Published: December 22nd, 2020

School has ended for the year, and the festive season is here!

It’s safe to say that 2020 has been a year like no other, so resting and recharging should be at the top of the agenda during this summer break. Here are a few of our favourite tips for switching off over the next few weeks…

1. Put your marking away

This is your summer holiday – so make sure to treat it like one! Put the workbooks aside, and save your marking for the new term. By giving yourself a real break, you’ll be able to get the rest you deserve and come back even more energised.

2. Enjoy a Christmas film (or two… or three…)

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit? Pop on your favourite movie and put your feet up – whether it’s Home Alone or Elf, there’s nothing quite like the classics.

3. Try out your favourite recipes

We all enjoy indulging a little over Christmas, so why not crack out the pots and pans to whip up some recipes from your childhood? You could even get the rest of the family involved and make the most of some quality time together.

4. Get out and see the decorations

Every town and city has ‘that’ street that goes all out when it comes to Christmas lights, and it’s always worth a trip in the evening. If there are no exciting decorations nearby, perhaps you can set the trend…

However you choose to spend the Christmas period, make sure you give yourself the break that you deserve. We’ve seen everybody in the education sector go to great lengths to ensure that our students have continued to receive positive experiences throughout this year, so a little bit of ‘me’ time won’t go amiss.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas – from your Promethean team.
