Promethean remains a global leader for interactive flat panel display (IFPD) technology, according to Futuresource Consulting’s Q3 2022 report on the World IFPD market. Promethean has maintained its global K-12 education sector IFPD market leader position from 2018 to 2022 collectively, excluding sales in China.
From October 2021 to September 2022, Promethean achieved a 24.9% volume share of the global primary & secondary Education IFPD market, excluding China, and remained the No.1 brand over this collective period in the United States, United Kingdom & Ireland, Germany, and Australia & New Zealand. Most recently, in Q3 2022, the company continued strong growth in Australia and New Zealand, achieving a 28.7% volume share of the IFPD market, and in Indonesia, achieving a 27.0% volume share of the IFPD market.
According to Futuresource, global sales of Interactive Displays (IFPDs and IWBs), including China, were up 72% quarter over quarter in the third quarter of 2022 and up 20% year over year. With 1.2 million displays sold, it was by far the largest sell-in volume quarter globally since Futuresource began tracking this market in 2004.
In Q2 and Q3 2022, Promethean was named a winner and finalist in four industry awards. The ActivPanel was named a winner of the Tech and Learning Awards of Excellence in the primary and secondary education categories and the Tech and Learning Best of Show Awards at ISTELive 22. Promethean was also named a finalist in Spain’s SIMO Education Innovation Platform Awards. These awards recognized Promethean for transforming education in schools around the world.
