Since its debut at Bett 2012, the ActivTable has generated excitement among educators from around the globe. It is a central component of the “Middle School of the Future” initiative in Edison, New Jersey, where teachers in every middle school science and social studies classroom are changing how they deliver teaching and learning by integrating the table, ActivBoards, hand-held devices and other technology into daily lessons.

Earlier this week, a new content modifier for the ActivTable was released, giving teachers the ability to customize activities for their classroom. The table’s interface has also been updated making set-up easier and simplifying some management functions to increase learning productivity. The ActivTable is being shown running Windows 8 in the Promethean Learning Productivity Studio (Stand C80).
