(ATLANTA – April 28, 2016) – Promethean today announced the launch of its inaugural “Best in ClassFlow” lesson-building competition. To enter, teachers first register for ClassFlow or use their existing account for ClassFlow, Promethean’s free, award-winning collaborative learning application. They then choose from the following four categories as the foundation of their interactive lesson:
- The Green Thing: 3 Best Practices for a Healthier Environment
- President for a Day: 3 Key Responsibilities of the Highest Office in the Land
- Cinema & Culture: 3 Movies That Had the Greatest Impact on Society
- Philanthropist for a Day: 3 Ways to Spend $1000 to Make the Most Impact
Next, teachers build their lessons in ClassFlow following a judging rubric, which includes interactivity, assessments, collaboration, and ease of use.
Four grand prize winners from each lesson category will receive $1,000. Their lessons will be featured on social media and in the ClassFlow Marketplace for one week, and will also be showcased at ISTE 2016. Additionally, four honorable mention winners will receive $250 and have their lessons featured as “Lesson of the Day” on social media and in the ClassFlow Marketplace.
Lesson entries into the Contest will be accepted until Sunday, June 5, at 11:59 pm PST, and will be judged by current and former classroom teachers.
ClassFlow is created by teachers for teachers, and helps guide the creation of interactive lessons and assignments. The latest version of ClassFlow includes thousands of ready-to-teach interactive lessons curated by experts, extended collaboration opportunities for students, free student accounts, and rewards to reinforce students’ positive behaviors.
