SAN FRANCISCO – (May 29, 2014) – Promethean, a leading provider of educational technology solutions, announces ClassFlow (www.classflow.com) has been named the Educators’ Choice winner for the SIIA Education Innovation Incubator Program. ClassFlow is a cloud-based classroom orchestration tool that enables teachers to create lessons, deliver interactive content across multiple devices, and assess student understanding. During the 13th annual Education Industry Summit, ClassFlow’s integrated learning platform demonstrated how classroom productivity is enhanced by making lesson planning more efficient and lesson plan delivery more dynamic.

“We are pleased ClassFlow was selected by educators to receive the SIIA Innovation Incubator Award, and we want to thank all of the teachers that voted ClassFlow as their top choice for 2014,” said Scott Cary, Chief Marketing and Products Officer of Promethean. “This award underscores Promethean’s commitment to innovation by creating tools that support differentiated instruction and motivate students to learn.”

The SIIA Innovation Incubator Program identifies and supports entrepreneurs in their development and distribution of innovative learning technologies. The program began in 2006 and has provided support for dozens of successful products and companies in their efforts to improve education through the use of software, digital content, and related technologies. The program is open to applicants from academic and non-profit institutions, pre-revenue and early-stage companies, as well as established companies with newly developed technologies.

“This year’s Innovation Incubator winners are some of the most interesting and exciting companies we’ve showcased to date, and will be among the entrepreneurs to watch as they continue to innovate in the coming years,” said Karen Billings, vice president for the SIIA Education Division.

Innovation Incubator Program winners were selected from the applicant pool based on key selection criteria, including:

  • Ability to positively impact end users of the product
  • Ability to succeed in the education technology market
  • Level of originality and innovation

Innovation Incubator finalists presented during the Business Profiles Presentations on May 12 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, Calif. The Innovation Showcase & Networking Reception immediately followed and provided an opportunity for presenters to have one-on-one product demonstrations and in-depth discussions with attendees.
