Promethean at Bett 2022

Let’s do something brilliant at Bett!

Recharge, Refuel, and Revitalise with Promethean on Stand SE51

Promethean is excited to be at Bett this year (23rd – 25th March) as the live event returns to share the best of what edtech has to offer UK educators. On Stand SE51, Promethean will be celebrating education with an agenda that promises to ‘Recharge, Refuel, and Revitalise’, bringing a host of special guests and powerful content that will equip visitors with best practice insights to transform learning.

Built for breakthroughs, the ActivPanel will take centre stage as we welcome a programme of guest presenters to address topics such as staff and student wellbeing, education inequality and access, the role of edtech in closing the learning gap, and much more.

ChessKid and the educational benefits of chess

For the duration of the show, ChessKid, the world’s leading online chess programme for schools, will be delivering daily sessions on the educational benefits of chess and how to practically leverage these with the ActivPanel.

ChessKid’s own “FunMasterMike” will be joined by Shreyas Royal, England’s youngest FIDE Master, to provide a student’s perspective on how chess increases learner engagement and develops critical thinking skills. Providing a practical takeaway for schools, all visitors to Stand SE51 are eligible for a three-month ChessKid gold membership – completely free.

Learning with Parents share best practice on closing the disadvantage gap

Parental engagement charity, Learning with Parents, will be discussing ‘Can edtech help to close the disadvantage gap?’, in daily presentations which share best practice on supporting families in disadvantaged areas to engage in learning. The charity will also demonstrate how its edtech platform for primary schools replaces traditional homework with inclusive, hands-on family activities and provides a feedback vehicle from parent to teacher.

To support visitors’ professional development beyond Bett, Learning with Parents is also offering a fully-funded training session for all primary school leaders who visit the Promethean stand.

Practical edtech advice from Teacher of the Year

Teacher of the Year and Deputy Head at Spire Junior School, Alex Bramley, will lead practical sessions which show how to use the ActivPanel to facilitate co-operative learning and engagement. Alex will also share the strategies and initiatives his school have developed to promote wellbeing for staff and students.

Education Technology and Humanity in a Changing World

In his keynote presentation on Wednesday at 3.30pm, Dr John Collick, Head of International Education Strategy, Promethean, is set to debate ‘Future Students, Future Teachers: Education Technology and Humanity in a Changing World’. This talk will explore how the events of the past few years have forced us to rethink our priorities and focussed attention on the role of education technology in a rapidly changing world.

With human interaction at education’s core, Dr Collick will discuss how we should redefine students’ relationship to technology and what skills we should be teaching them to fully realise their social and emotional identities in a digital world.

Radix – the power of panel management

Remote and hybrid learning mean edtech ecosystems have grown substantially in recent years. That’s why Promethean has partnered with Radix, a market leader in device management for education, to provide enhanced panel management for the ActivPanel.

Attend the Radix presentations on-stand to learn how the ActivPanel is designed to support IT Managers with managing growing estates or speak to their expert team on-stand.

Let’s do something brilliant, together

With Bett keeping its doors open longer on Thursday 24th March, we’ll be hosting a special on-stand drinks reception from 5.30pm. All visitors are invited to join us for a glass of fizz and compete against Shreyas Royal in a rapid-fire round of chess to be in with a chance of taking home a chess board signed by the young FIDE Master himself.

Recharge, Refuel, Revitalise

With such a packed programme, Stand SE51 is fully equipped to keep energy levels up. Pick up a free coffee from our barista, plug your phones in to charge, and then explore everything Promethean has to offer at Bett.

It’s time to get ready for Bett.
