Dr. Simon Leung - Chairman of the Board, Promethean World Limited


Dr. Simon Leung, a seasoned technocrat and devout educator.

Simon has spearheaded industry leading IT and telecommunications giants in the Asia Pacific region for over 30 years. From overseeing the growth of Motorola Asia Pacific Limited to numerous strategic achievements of Chairman and CEO of Microsoft’s Greater China Region.

Immediately prior to joining as Vice Chairman of NetDragon Websoft Inc. and CEO of Huayu Education Technology in March 2015, Simon has been at the driver seat for two years at the Harrow International School’s development in Asia Pacific. Well-versed in all-round business management from a macro-strategic level to day-to-day operations. Simon is both the insightful leader and the realist hands-on working partner.

Simon’s prevalence in education sees him as advisor to the Richard Ivey School of Business at the Western University, Canada; Treasurer and Council Member and Chairman of Finance Committee of Tung Wah College, Hong Kong; and International Advisory Committee Member to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He had also been a governor of Upper Canada College in 2009.

Simon holds an Honorary Doctorate in Law and Bachelor of Arts under Faculty of Science from Western University, Canada, in addition to a Business Administration Doctorate from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Simon has also received Dato’ship from the State of Penang in Malaysia.

Vin Riera - CEO, Promethean World Limited


Vin Riera joined Promethean in January of 2017. Vin is an experienced global executive who is passionate about technology and education, and a highly respected leader across multiple disciplines. He most recently served as Director and CEO of Collegis Education. Prior to Collegis, Vin served as Director and CEO of Edmentum, a leader in software curriculum and assessment solutions. In addition, he has served in progressive leadership and general management roles at Gateway, Inc., Equant, Inc., now Orange Business Services, Verizon/MCI WorldCom, and GE Capital Commercial Direct.

In addition to his broad software, computing, services and education industry background, Vin has a proven track record of developing compelling and strategic plans that drive transformational growth and shareholder value. He understands that Promethean is a unique organization with a distinct culture, loyal customers, and a proud 20-year heritage. His overall experience and leadership skills will propel Promethean forward as we continue our mission to develop the transformative technologies, educational content, and dynamic experiences that motivate students to learn.

Mr. Riera currently on the Board of Advisors for Computype in Roseville, Minnesota.
He is a graduate of Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts with a BS Degree in Business Administration.

Louise Ward – Chief Financial Officer


Louise is responsible for ensuring Promethean Group has the appropriate financial resources and Information Technology in place to support business strategy, growth and opportunities. Louise is also responsible for Global Customer Support, Global Logistics and Global Supply Chain.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences (Economics) at John Moores University in Liverpool, UK, and is a Qualified Accountant (ACCA). Louise joined Promethean in 2009. During her time at Promethean, Louise has been responsible for the Financial Management of the North American Region and most recently was responsible for Global Financial Planning and Operational Support to the Sales Regions and Commercial Management across the business.

Louise has over 20 years’ experience in Commercial Management and Leadership positions within the Engineering & Technology Sectors. Most notable is the 12 years spent with Teradyne Inc. where she held progressive financial management positions culminating in 5 years as the Finance Director of their European based Diagnostic Solutions Division.

Ram Venkataraman - Head of Technology Solutions


Ram is responsible for Promethean’s technology vision, strategy and execution of all of our Hardware and Software Products. He holds a Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Bombay. Ram joined Promethean in 2013 as Head of Technology Solutions.

Prior to working for Promethean, Ram served as the Chief Technology Officer at Altisource. During his time at Altisource he was responsible for the transformation of Altisource and Ocwen software products into a world class SaaS based platform. Altisource successfully transitioned its software platforms into a technology incubation company via Altisource Labs.

He has also served as the SVP of Engineering at SpectrumK12. Ram has held other senior leadership positions and led many engineering, technology and product management teams.

Ian Curtis - Head of EMEA & ANZ Markets


Ian is responsible for managing operations and driving sales of Promethean’s innovative interactive technology solutions throughout Northern, Southern, Central and Eastern European Markets along with Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East and Australia and New Zealand. He graduated with an honours degree in Computer Science with Mathematics from the University of Bristol.

Ian joined Promethean as Head of UK and Ireland in 2008 from Hewlett-Packard where he had previously held the role as Director of the UK and Ireland Software Business Unit.

Prior to that, Ian held a variety of roles at HP including Director of UK Marketing, Head of the UK Technology Financing Business unit, and a variety of other sales and marketing leadership roles. Ian also spent 3 years with Hewlett-Packard based in Cupertino, California.

Scott Willett - Interim Head of Sales, Americas Markets


Scott holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Virginia Wesleyan College. Scott joined Promethean in 2008 as Head of Southeast US Sales and has held various leadership positions including Eastern Director and Head of Sales for the US.

Prior to joining Promethean, Scott spent 11 years in Dell's education division managing territories in the eastern US. He began his career as an Apple Education Sales agent in the Mid Atlantic region holding sales and management positions. Scott has more than 30 years of experience in the Ed Tech market in the US.

Peter Yeung – Head of Asia Markets


Peter is responsible for managing operations and driving sales of the Asia Markets, including ASEAN, NorthEast Asia and China.

Peter holds a Bachelors degree of Social Science from the University of Hong Kong and is based in Hong Kong.

Peter was most recently with NetDragon as Vice President of Business Development based in Hong Kong.  Prior to working for NetDragon, Peter held a number of general management and sales leadership roles for Digital Equipment, Compaq, HP and Microsoft.

Allyson Krause - Head of Legal


Allyson is responsible for all commercial legal matters globally as well as ensuring Promethean’s compliance with privacy laws and regulations wherever Promethean conducts business. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Economics and Spanish from Brandeis University and a law (Juris Doctor) degree from Emory University.

Allyson joined Promethean in July 2010 as the Head of Legal for North America and became Head of Legal for Promethean, globally in 2014.

Prior to joining Promethean, Allyson has held several legal positions in both the public and private sectors including six years as in-house counsel to Southwire Company, and six years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia, USA.

Ken Uhlig - Head of Global People & Culture


Ken is responsible for all people programs globally, ensuring that Promethean has the appropriate culture, talent, and people processes in place to support and grow the business. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Prior to his current role, Ken was Head of People & Culture for the Americas where he was responsible for all People programs to support the region.

Ken has extensive global experience, having worked and lived in Europe, Asia and North America.

Early in his career, Ken held progressive leadership roles with NCR and Nortel Networks based in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. He continued to build “Best Practice” People organizations in the technology sector where he was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Equant NV, a publicly traded international provider of managed data network services with business operations in over 150 countries, and EarthLink Holdings Corp., a US based publicly traded internet, managed network, and cloud service provider where he served as EarthLink's Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer.
