ActivPanel wins best Classroom audio-visual app or tool award

The ActivPanelTM, Promethean’s interactive flat panel display, was awarded the Best Classroom Audio-Visual app or Tool by The Edvocate, an online news website offering the latest industry news, feature interviews, and opinion pieces on education policy, reform, and organization.  

The recognition is part of the 2017 Tech Edvocate Awards, a program that highlights outstanding companies, people, products in EdTech. “The education market is currently worth around $5 trillion globally, and it is forecasted that EdTech investment alone will reach $252 billion by the year 2020,” according to The Edvocate. “This growing investment into EdTech start-ups has created some exciting changes in the world of education.”

The interactive flat panel’s InGlassTM touch and writing technology provides a natural and smooth writing experience, and its AndroidTM-based processor offers instant access to educational apps directly from the home screen. Other features available on the ActivPanel include the ability to mirror mobile devices to share content and connect to BluetoothTM devices to support lessons.

In addition to ActivPanel’s win, Promethean was a finalist for Best Global EdTech Company, and the ClassFlow Family of Software was a finalist for Best Lesson Planning App or Tool and Best Blended/Flipped Learning App or Tool.
