Easing your transition back to school with Promethean and Microsoft Teams

How to make use of your existing resources to teach ‘hybrid’ classes of present and distant students.

As schools begin to undertake a phased return to the classroom, social distancing requirements will mean that many lessons must be delivered to present and distant students simultaneously – a ‘hybrid’ classroom.

Although this poses new challenges, you can use your ActivPanel and its supplied-as-standard lesson planning and delivery software, ActivInspire, to make it a lot easier.

By taking advantage of your existing Promethean solutions, you’ll be able to adapt to simultaneously teaching present and distant students without changing your teaching techniques too much.

Education technology has been enabling new pedagogical approaches in the classroom for some time, and now supports more innovative and engaging classroom experiences. Although temporary school closures took students and teachers away from the classroom, videoconferencing solutions helped to keep students learning from home.

Videoconferencing tools like Microsoft Teams will also enable seamless teaching to hybrid classes as we return to the classroom. As Microsoft Teams is free for teachers, we have prepared a quick guide on how to use it alongside Promethean’s ActivPanel and ActivInspire.
