Promethean grant launched at EduTECH 2017

Published: June 8th, 2017

SYDNEY (8th June 2017) – Promethean, a leading global provider of educational technology solutions, is launching a Promethean grant at EduTECH 2017. The new initiative is designed to make the latest ActivPanel available to Australian schools with limited budget.

As part of the Promethean grant, the company is giving away 10 of its advanced front-of-the-classroom displays. In order to be considered for one of the ActivPanels, schools are asked to submit nominations as to why they deserve to be awarded one of the interactive displays.

Oftentimes, schools aren’t able to create modern, immersive learning environments due to budget restrictions,” said Laurie Quigg, head of Australia and New Zealand markets, Promethean. “Promethean launched the grant, because as a company firmly rooted in education, we believe that finances should not be a barrier to accessing technologies that enhance the teaching and learning experience.”

Nominations are now being accepted for the Promethean grant, with the final closing date for submissions 8th September 2017. Entries will be judged by a local panel of experienced educators and edtech specialists.

Melissa Grant, one of the judges, is excited to be part of the judging process. “We’re looking for schools who will embrace the technology and really make use of its full potential,” said Grant. “In the spirit of edtech, nominations need to be digital. Whether that’s a video, audio or a slideshow, we’re giving schools the opportunity to show us how winning an ActivPanel will transform their teaching and learning programmes”.
