On stand 171, Promethean will unveil the new ActivPanel along with ClassFlow Desktop, the next-generation lesson delivery software for interactive displays.
The new ActivPanel with InGlass touch and writing technology offers a natural and smooth writing experience that is precise and lag-free with free-form handwriting, drawing, and saving and sending capabilities. ClassFlow Desktop is designed for use with Promethean’s interactive displays, including the ActivPanel. It provides educators with a suite of new features, including a simplified user interface as well as advanced online collaboration tools to connect to student devices, such as ChromebooksTM, mobile PCs, and tablets. In addition, ClassFlow Desktop gives teachers access to an online global marketplace with millions of high tech, interactive, and 3D multimedia lessons, resources, experiments, and simulations.
Available in 27 languages, ClassFlow Desktop enables teachers with a Promethean interactive display in the classroom to:
- Create, open, and present interactive lessons and activities
- Draw and annotate over content and images
- Launch instant digital whiteboard for freestyle writing and drawing
- Snapshot screen and save with students
- Record audio and/or video
If an internet connection is detected, ClassFlow Desktop allows teachers to access the online collaboration tools and send instant quizzes, polls, activities, and digital badges to students.
A rolling programme of educator-focused sessions will be hosted on stand 171 to demonstrate how ClassFlow Desktop can be used with the new ActivPanel to create powerful teaching and learning opportunities. Led by Promethean’s teaching and learning consultants, the classroom-focused sessions will enable visitors to explore ClassFlow Desktop’s potential to support assessment, instant whiteboard, and student engagement – all without connecting to the internet.
On Friday 9 June 2017 at 9:30am, Dr. John Collick, senior education consultant of Promethean’s International Markets, will be delivering an edtech-focused session as part of the K-12 Education Leaders Congresses programme.
