Promethean celebrates a love for learning at EduTECH 2019
Promethean is thrilled to announce that it will be debuting its brand-new ActivPanel Elements range amidst an exciting programme of activity at EduTECH 2019 (Sydney, 6th-7th June 2019). Promethean will address the potential for technology in education whilst celebrating the love for learning that brings together educators, suppliers and professionals from across the globe.
The event will see the exclusive regional launch of the ActivPanel Elements series on stand 833, offering a range of solutions to fit differing school requirements and meet varying ICT strategies and budgets. ActivPanel Elements has been designed by teachers, for teachers, to give schools increased flexibility and ensure it offers the right tools for every classroom.
Alistair Hayward, Promethean’s Head of UKI and ANZ markets, said: “At Promethean, we are always striving for innovation in education, and the ActivPanel Elements series offers just that. We have ensured that this new range represents increased flexibility and accessibility for schools of all kinds.”
The Elements series encourages students and teachers to collaborate more closely than ever. Exclusive VellumTM technology provides the industry’s most natural writing experience without input lag and false strokes. This smooth pen-on-paper writing performance enables students and teachers to write instinctively without any disruption.
ActivPanel Elements is supplied as standard with Promethean’s award winning ActivInspire and ClassFlow, facilitating seamless lesson planning, delivery and assessment. ActivPanel Elements also provides access to an ever-expanding ecosystem of educational applications alongside the Instant Whiteboard app, putting an infinite canvas for creativity at the teacher’s fingertips.
Promethean will be hosting a range of seminars across the two-day event to provide insight and inspiration to EduTECH visitors. The seminars will touch upon edtech usage across the curriculum as well as its roles in online safety, feedback and assessment.
Dr. John Collick, Senior Education Consultant at Promethean, will be delivering a presentation on ‘Cyberstudents, A.I. and the future of learning’ at 14:50, 7th June, in the Seminar Theatre. He will discuss interaction and integration with technology both inside and outside of the classroom. Commenting on the outlook for education technology, Dr. Collick said: “The potential for technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences is greater than ever, and understanding our relationship with technology will help us to maximise this potential.”
Promethean is also launching the State of Technology in Education survey at EduTECH. The first of its kind in the region, the survey will gauge how technology is currently being used in Australian education, map out trends in education technology, and identify key areas where progress can be made. This is an opportunity for educators in Australia to have their say about the role of technology in learning and teaching, and help steer the development of the market towards the best outcomes for education. The survey will be instrumental in mapping out the education technology landscape in Australia and providing a baseline for improvement, and will open for responses at EduTECH on the 6th June 2019.
Promethean is keen to celebrate the successes that education brings whilst equipping schools with state-of-the-art technology, and will be running a special competition at EduTECH 2019. Teachers can visit Promethean on Stand 833 to record a short, inspirational video about a positive experience they have had in teaching, and be in with a chance of winning an ActivPanel.
