Jill Hobson, Senior Education Strategist
Jill Hobson is the Senior Education Strategist for Promethean. With 16 years experience as a director of instructional technology in one of the most recognized school districts in the United States, Jill provides expertise on best practices in education and instructional technology. As a member of the strategy team, she assists determining the future development of products and services.
Jill has been responsible for leading several initiatives in school districts including a very successful Bring Your Own Technology Program, the revitalization to digital age media centers and the role of Media Specialists and one of the first online and blended learning programs in the US. Jill was named one Technology and Learning's Top 100 most important people in educational technology. She has been on the National School Board Association's "Twenty to Watch", a list of 20 emerging leaders in technology.
Jill serves as the Associate Chair of the Georgia Educational Technology Conference (GaETC). Jill is currently leading development of digital content for Promethean.
Mark Quintana, Ed.D. Senior Education Consultant
Dr. Mark Quintana has been a professional educator for 19 years. He has served in the positions from teacher to Magnet Program Coordinator to multiple District level administrator positions facilitating curriculum initiatives for core and elective curriculum content areas and School Improvement processes. These include Accreditation, Differentiated Accountability, School Improvement Plans, School Recognition Programs, School Improvement Grants, School Improvement Waivers and School Advisory Councils.
Mark simultaneously has 15 years experience as a college/university adjunct professor of coursework at the Bachelor's, Master's, Specialist and Doctorate degree levels. Dr. Quintana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the State University of New York College at Oswego, Master of Education in Exceptional Student Education from Florida Atlantic University, an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and a Doctorate of Education in Child and Youth Studies from Nova Southeastern University.
Jack Reed, Head of Content and Consulting
Jack Reed began his career in education in the position of Bilingual Counselor for Upward Bound, a pre-college Program at the University of Maryland. In this capacity he served traditionally underserved populations in urban high schools in the Washington, DC area. He became Assistant Director and he received the Marion P. Flagg award for outstanding service to minority student and the Governor of Maryland recognized him for his service to Latino students.
Jack has worked in various positions and school districts: bilingual counselor for DC Public Schools, middle school counselor in Fairfax County, VA, counselor in Broward County, FL, ESOL counselor in Montgomery County, MD, assistant principal in Montgomery County, MD, Coordinator of Guidance and Academic Advising in Broward County Public Schools. In this role he led a department of over 750 student service personnel in the sixth largest school district in the nation. He participated in the development of a Response to Intervention model that was later implemented in all schools throughout the district. Recruited by Spectrum K12, an educational software firm, Jack was instrumental in the design and implementation of data driven decision-making programs in several large districts throughout the United States (including Milwaukee and San Diego).
As the Head of Content and Consulting for Promethean, he has worked with the Minister of Education in the Bahamas, Broward County Public Schools, The University of South Florida and many other educational entities. His work centers on providing educational transformation using data, technology integration, and systemic change through professional development that incorporates a transformational model. In addition, he has worked to build specific digital content aligned to Common Core, State standards, and country specific benchmarks.
