Just like students, teachers learn differently and therefore require a variety of professional development options to obtain the skills they need. While video-based tutorials, downloadable user guides and "dial in" training work for some, Promethean understands that today’s teachers need more. That's why we've developed online training courses that provide feedback, assessment, and interaction with "on demand" accessibility.

- Interactive Tutorials - Promethean Learning courses are interactive and require the participants to actively participate in their learning.
- Online Assessment - Each course requires the participant to take assessments of their understanding of the materials. These assessments are tracked by the Promethean Learning system itself.
- Certificate of Completion - Each course ends with a certificate of completion. This certificate is given ONLY when the participant has passed at 100% of the required assessments. This is important for teachers, as it gives them a goal to complete the course and proof of completion that they can give to their principal, technology department, or their professional development department if these courses have been approved by them for CEU’s or PLU’s.

Certification Levels
With the launch of Promethean Learning, we are able to offer on-line training to three certification levels depending on your proficiency using the Activboard and software.
Level 1 - Professional User
These courses are self-paced, include interactive tutorials and assessments, and typically take about 5 hours each to complete. Courses will include:

Why is it internet based?
By providing the course materials and subjects online you are able to complete the courses at your leisure. You are even able to save your work and go back to it at a time that suits you and your classroom!
Does this replace face-to-face training?
No. Promethean Learning courses are designed to be an integral part of a professional development program which includes both online and face-to-face components.
What are the prices for these courses?
The Level 1 Foundation Courses are free of charge. Pricing for the other courses are available on the Promethean Learning site.
Are the courses self-paced?
Level 1 courses are self paced. Levels 2 and 3 are moderated, have a set start and end time, and typically run 6 weeks.
Are the courses mentored?
Level 1 courses are self paced and not mentored. Levels 2 and 3 are moderated, have a set start and end time, and typically run 6 weeks.
Can teachers get CEU's/PLU's upon completion of Promethean Learning courses?
As states and/or districts have varying requirements for approving and receiving CEU/PLU credits, complete course information (including estimated time to complete and course syllabus) will be provided so that you can submit the course materials to your authorizing agency for approval prior to taking the course.
