Worlddidac Award, 2004
The Worlddidac Foundation is a prestigious international trade association for education, with members spanning 50 countries. Created in 1984, The Worlddidac Award is the most recognized international prize in the education sector.
Promethean received the 2004 award, for excellence and innovation, for its ACTIVprimary software, determined by an international jury of education experts. The award was given for the innovative and pedagogical value of the software, seen to have great potential for improving teaching and learning.
Chief Executive, Stephen Jury said: "This is a highly prestigious award which recognizes not only Promethean's dedication to the education market and interactive resources in teaching, but also its truly international base extending the opportunities for collaborative learning worldwide. Promethean's reach already extends beyond the UK into Europe and the USA, Middle East and Asia, but more and more we are talking to governments and education specialists who are keen to replicate the success of our collaborative classroom solutions in their regions."
Promethean will attend the Worlddidac 2004 exhibition in Basel, Switzerland in October for the official presentation of the award. In addition, Promethean will also be exhibiting in the UK Pavilion.
