Director's Biographies
Mark Elliott - President
Joining Promethean in 2005, Mark brings with him 28 years experience in sales, marketing, and operations for both technical and software organizations.
Mark spent over 14 years with Burroughs/Unisys in roles including Account Manager, Regional Product Manager, Executive Assistant to the Unisys President, Brand District Manager, and Regional Director of Marketing.
Subsequent to Unisys, Mark’s previous positions include being the senior VP for PowerCerv Technologies and president of E3 North America. He was the former VP of Lawson Software’s Retail Division and served as the VP of sales, marketing, and product development for Education Networks of America.
As a Senior Director of Apple Computer’s Education Division, Mark managed all solutions outside of the hardware platform, including Apple Care, Apple Software, Strategic Initiatives, Alliances, Channels, and Servers. Mark has a BBA in Economics and Master of Science degree in Industrial Management.

Pat Henry - Vice President, Marketing and Business Development
Pat Henry joined Promethean Inc. in 2005 after more than 25 years in sales, marketing and business development roles in the information technology industry. In his current position he has been instrumental in developing the Promethean Activlearning environment which features partnerships with leading K12 solution providers such as Dell Computer, netTrekker, Inspiration, Library Video, Riverdeep and Sanyo.
Prior to this, Pat served as the National Manager of the Apple Education division’s Complementary Solution Provider program. In this role he developed a comprehensive K12 solution map that included partnerships with leading solution providers such as Pearson Digital Learning, Inspiration, Scholastic and Vantage Learning.
Pat currently serves as Promethean’s representative to several educational groups, including CoSN, ISTE and Project Inkwell.
Prior to joining Promethean, Pat held a variety of sales and management positions at Unisys and Unicomp as well as successfully partnering with IBM, Sun and Hewlett Packard. He has an MBA from Georgia State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech.

Sharon Holton - Vice President, Strategic Accounts
Over the past 20 years Sharon has helped hundreds of organizations achieve their objectives. Sharon believes in treating clients as she would like to be treated and going the extra mile.
“The key is taking the time to understand what an organization is trying to accomplish, providing a well thought-through solution that fits within their budget, and following up to make sure things are going according to plan.”
IBM’s one-year training program provided an excellent foundation in communication, technology, project management and people skills. During Sharon’s years as a consultant with Apple’s Education Division she helped schools incorporate new technologies, helping them think through all aspects of the project from design to implementation to classroom impact.
Currently Sharon’s primary focus is helping large districts lay the groundwork to maximize student achievement. Sharon is very high energy, has strong relationship skills and takes a personal interest in helping her clients succeed.

Lupita Knittel - Vice President, Product Management
Lupita Knittel is the Vice President of Product Management for Promethean USA. She joined Promethean in 2005 as part of the Strategic Initiatives Team. Lupita led multiple opportunities, including Cisco’s 21st Century Education Initiative in Mississippi and Louisiana, provided strategic support for various accounts in Texas and Florida and took the lead in developing Promethean’s Torchlight Account Program.
Prior to joining Promethean, Lupita worked in the Education Division of Apple for four years as a National Strategic Accounts Manager and Account Executive, focused on creating sustainable, repeatable models to address education technology needs for industry leaders nationwide. Lupita established high-level partnerships with key customers and organizations, led numerous consulting engagements and planning sessions, and developed supporting processes, communication and sales materials.
Lupita has been a featured speaker at the 21st Century Enterprise Latin American conference and has been published in leading CRM industry magazine.
Prior to EDS, Lupita owned and operated a Marketing Consulting firm in Mexico.

Phil Thomas - Vice President, Customer Care and Professional Development
Phil Thomas joined Promethean as Director of Customer Care and Professional Development in January of 2004.
Bringing over 34 years of experience in the education market, Phil supervises Promethean’s training, technology, and customer care teams.
Prior to joining Promethean, Phil served as the Director of School Technology for Fulton County Schools in Georgia. While there, Phil was responsible for overseeing the implementation of Fulton County’s Virtual Campus, supervising the School Technology Specialists, and standardizing the software used throughout the district.
During his extensive educational career with Fulton County Schools in Georgia, Phil served as a Principal and Assistant Principal for Milton High School, an Assistant Principal for Lakeshore High School, a Social Studies Department Chairperson for Milton High School and a Social Studies Teacher for Ridgeview High School.
Phil holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from Georgia State University, as well as an Associate of Arts from Young Harris College.

Debbie Yasenka - Vice President, Channels
Debbie joined Promethean in September 2004.
Prior to joining Promethean, Debbie was the National Sales Manager for Apple Computer where she was responsible for managing a network of Apple Education resellers nationwide.
Earlier in her career, Debbie worked as an independent consultant assisting organizations in sales and marketing planning, sales training, and strategic relationships.
She is the former President of Visual Systems Development Group of Troy, Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent State University, Ohio.
