Pass It On supports the BESA (British Educational Supplies Association) ITTSSL (Initial Teacher Training Software Site License) scheme.

Developed to encourage teacher training colleges to provide trainee-teachers with the necessary ICT and software to develop their skills whilst training. The Promethean Pass It On scheme aims to provide teachers with the interactive skills and tools to better equip them for the classroom.

To support the ITTSSL initiative we authorizing access to our award-winning software titles (Activprimary and Activstudio). The software license scheme for Pass It On allows the software to be installed on the institutes' computer network. Trainee-teachers can download the program on to their personal computers they can use it in other schools when on placements. Trainee-teachers are given every opportunity to develop the skills they need to use the technology effectively in the classroom throughout their training.

The Scheme in short

All teacher trainees registering from HEI subscribing to the scheme will receive:-

•  A copy of either Activprimary (for primary teachers) or Activstudio (for secondary teachers) software. Whilst training, students will come in to contact with many different types of interactive whiteboard, Promethean software is compatible with any brand so they can always be confident in their skill s at the board.
• General interactive whiteboard orientation guidance, one three hour introductory session with one of Promethean's Teaching and Learning Advisors.
• A specialist software license. Tutors and trainee-teachers will have access to the software for use in college for lectures, at home on their personal computers for preparation and planning and in the classroom when on school placements.
• Students will be better prepared for the classroom with in-depth knowledge and experience on how the technology can be best used.
• On graduation trainee-teachers have the opportunity to purchase a lifetime license for the software for just £30, allowing them to use their software in any classroom throughout their career.
