Design and Technology

The wide-ranging nature of Design and Technology makes it ideal for use with Activboards.  We can tailor our course for any D&T specialism, from graphic products to industrial technology. You’ll also learn how to bring practical demonstrations to life with the help of Activboards and the Activstudio software - and work with our experienced trainers to gain hands-on practice and develop your skills. This course is recommended for teachers of Design and Technology aiming for Curriculum Developer Level 2 accreditation.

Typical topics

• Using interactive whiteboards in various specialisms, e.g. graphics, resistant materials, textiles etc.
• Creating your own resources.
• Importing images and text from the internet and other sources.
• Using your own software (e.g. CAD/CAM) alongside Activstudio.
• The Resource Library.
• Using sounds.
• Using video.
• Creating links to Design and Technology-related websites.
• Saving and organising resources for use across the school and between colleagues.

Location

• School-based (typically half-day, full-day or in-class support).
