Activote in the Classroom

Our Activote pupil response system has become an essential part of a fully interactive classroom. This course has been created to help if you have just acquired a system, and want to learn how to make the most of your Activotes. For example, learn how to use the voting device spontaneously to gain instant opinions from students... or to generate class discussions... and, of course, obtain instant, reliable feedback on how well your students have understood a topic.

Who will benefit?

  • Teachers and classroom assistants who have access to Promethean’s Activote system.

Typical topics

  • Personalising devices for each class.
  • Reviewing each student’s individual feedback.
  • Using Activote to meet the particular needs of each pupil.
  • Interpreting and analysing voting results in a number of ways.
  • Implementing formative and summative assessment opportunities.
  • Using voting in conjunction with your existing Activprimary or Activstudio skills.
  • Using voting with Promethean and/or non-Promethean whiteboards.
  • Using voting creatively to generate discussion, take polls, vote anonymously etc.
  • Creating your own question sets.
  • Maintaining pupil and question databases.

Location

  • School-based (typically half-day, full-day or in-class support).
