Activboards and Literacy

This course explores the use of the Activboard to enhance teaching and learning in literacy.

Our specialist trainers will demonstrate how to integrate Activ software with other curriculum applications - so it can be used most effectively to deliver text, sentence and word level objectives within the literacy hour.

• Primary teachers and subject co-ordinators who already use Activprimary and/or Activstudio.
• Teachers considering Level 2 accreditation.

• Adding, adapting and presenting text and images effectively.
• Text editing and formatting features.
• Interactive and collaborative approaches to engaging your pupils.
• Integrating digital content and web-based resources into your teaching.
• Organising your literacy resources to help you plan activities.
• Using the software creatively to develop pupils’ ideas for stories, discussions and multimedia presentations.
• Exploring software and support for phonics.

• School-based (typically half-day, full-day or in-class support).
